The Allah issue again...only in Malaysia..

This past few weeks the usage of the word Allah cropped out again. The Sultan of Selangor and his 'genius' of a team sought to enforce that the word Allah shall be used by the Muslims only. Pardon me? I'm Bidayuh-Iban & as long as I can remember, the word Allah has been used by my people since time immemorial. We use it in our liturgy, hymn books & of course, our Bible. Even in our prayers, Allah is mentioned. I believe the word Allah is used with reference to God even by the non-muslims in the Middle East. & the muslims there ain't got no fuss on the matter. & no..don't give me that Sabah & Sarawak is different. I'm Malaysian, & I want all of us to be treated equally. We enjoy the same rights, we bear the same obligation as a citizen. No? I can only assume one thing from this matter. Election is coming soon. Is it a ploy? Or not, well, we shall wait till election day comes. I love my country...but the rulers, from the crown to those who are in government, not so..as I write this, I can't help but remind myself that they too are human. Prone to err as they are not God. The only perfect governance would be God's. Till that day then...Adios! Just my rants!

Book spree & CD Spree!!

Yesterday, went gift hunting at Doulos. Supposedly to be gift hunting, nangga2x, bought stuffs for myself. Hehehe..... So at Doulos, I bought 3 books. 1 book is a gift for my coming X'mas party. 2 books for myself. All for RM24. Stinking cheap right? If I buy these books at the local bookstore, it'll cost me somewhere around RM25-RM35 per book. Yeah....dirt cheap. When I thought I was done with my book spree, I came across one section of the ship where they have an offer. 4CDs + 1 doulos bag for RM20. Or 3 books + 1 Doulos bag for RM20. Wowsers! How can I resist!! Off I went & managed to grab 4 CDs. American made CDs are of good quality man. One of the Cds that I picked was a Christian rock group called Decypher Down. Green Chords-State Level 2009

This is the reason why I drove all the way to Sibu. To lend support to my brother's school marching band, the Green Chords. Before this, I was never a fan. Err wait..before this I've never heard of marching band at all. Of course this all changed after my sibs joined Green Road Sec. School's marching band. See the guy with the tuba. That's my younger bro, Calvin a.k.a Ju. When he first started, i.e. at the age of 13, he was selected to play the tuba. Mind you, he was the sole tuba player for 4 consecutive years. Imagine, he's controlling the bass side of the band...all by himself. Mind you, among all of us siblings, he was never musically trained. It was because of band that he begged my mum to enroll him for piano class..at the age of 14, which is quite late..just to master theory.He plays the tuba..and he has no musical theory background. Give grace to Elizabeth Wong

Elizabeth Wong's nude pictures scandal has been a big hit recently. Some groups were sympathetic towards her, seeing it as a grievous unfortunate event. But some looked at her with scorn and demands her resignation...they remind me of the Pharisees in the Bible. Why should Elizabeth resign because of something which is not wrong legally? Her privacy was invaded. She is a victim of one sicko out there..whoever he is, I hope the authority would get him and bring him to justice! As for her morality, that is between her and God. For Christians, telling a white lie is equal to the sin of killing. Lusting for someone in the mind is equivalent to committing adultery. Sin is sin.
