I've been slacking in many areas of my life right now. Spiritually as well. & I can only point to one reason why I'm being a slacker. I have not been listening lately..I'm too busy going about doing chores. Too busy with ministry. & yaddy yadda..Don't get me wrong. I still do pray..read the bible but I shall say, it wasn't good quality time with the Lord. Oh TV! Oh internet! Oh Facebook! oh the so many projects like doing interior decor, trying to embark on a fashion make over with my old pieces due to the low in budget...So many things that is equipping my mind! I can't keep still for even 15 minutes! Every time I do so, I'll say "God, where is this going?" Crick..crick..hear the crickets & their sound. Well, like it or not, I've gotta do it! This past few weeks the usage of the word Allah cropped out again. The Sultan of Selangor and his 'genius' of a team sought to enforce that the word Allah shall be used by the Muslims only. Pardon me? I'm Bidayuh-Iban & as long as I can remember, the word Allah has been used by my people since time immemorial. We use it in our liturgy, hymn books & of course, our Bible. Even in our prayers, Allah is mentioned. I believe the word Allah is used with reference to God even by the non-muslims in the Middle East. & the muslims there ain't got no fuss on the matter. & no..don't give me that Sabah & Sarawak is different. I'm Malaysian, & I want all of us to be treated equally. We enjoy the same rights, we bear the same obligation as a citizen. No? I can only assume one thing from this matter. Election is coming soon. I know its a few days late, but HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013! We have survived yet again the so-call Doomsdate ..not that I believe anyway...so here's what happened the past few weeks.. I am glad that my Christmas prezzies were a hit to my beloved families. I gave my sister nail polish from Hollika Hollika...my bros brewed beer & so ju...my dad a box of truffles & my mum a box of awesome chocolate cookies! All are cheap but nice! My Christmas Eve was the best ever! Held at my pastor's house which his wife did a top notch deco on..I wish I took pictures for your eyes to feast...& of course, the food! the theme was western dishes so there were bakes potatoes, beef stew, pizza, pastas & me..yours truly made roast pork! Hehehehehe...my 2nd attempt as I did a trial run before that...so glad that I can cook roast pork now. Come to think of it, it was a breeze!
