As I've always said, being single is a blessing. Unfortunately, the singles tend to get swayed to living a life of selfishness instead of selflessness. We tend to submit to the game of climbing the corporate ladder instead of going for God's High Commission. We tend to fall for the pull of leisure & pleasure with the money that we earned. Have we forgetten that the time & resources that we have are all God given? Is this how our God wants us, the singles, to live? Singles, including myself, need to remember that we can make a difference. There are many things that we can offer to the younger generation. If you're a lady, you can be a sister to the young ones. Or the guys can be a brother to them. & yes, the young ones need big sisters & brothers to lead them & mentor them. Being single means we have the time. We have the resources. So let us use it for this very purpose. To impart value & character into their lives. To inspire them to be godly &

It started with a gesture, Of 'do I know you somewhere?' A de ja vu or figmentation of mind, somehow its image is there. Far, far away in time, There seems to be a memory, Of a past or hidden love, Secretly hidden from one another. When paths are crossed, Through many forms, It shall cause intensity of emotions, Like electrical sparks that fly. How could we have missed each other? So closed but yet so far, Perhaps each are hidden mysteriously, Planned by the all knowing Father. Mixed thoughts are lingering in my mind, Thoughts of letting go, Thoughts of holding on, Wish I could know which path I would choose. If I let go, I fear of loosing, That special something that I have had, But yet I doubt, whether there is a spceial something in the first place. & if I let go, Perhaps things can take a turn? From the impossible to the possible, A miracle explosion which I may see with time. On the other hand.. If I hang on, I'm afraid of inter-meddling, With God's destiny for us, & that would cost us our blessing. If I hang on, I fear that reality sinks in, & I'll be disappointed with the superficiality, & loose the possibility of ever finding true love. & if I hang on, Maybe things could work out, A relationship may bloom, Into something wonderful....who knows? Arggh!! Too many voices, But I've got only one choice, To make soon before I wear myself down, Cause there's so much that this girl can take! At the end of the day

Being single is a blessing. Especially if one has a career & pretty much independent in many ways. I for one, see singlehood as a blessing indeed. However, don't get me wrong, I do toy with the idea of settling down one day, God willing, & I do not discard marriage as a plan in my life altogether. Maybe the reason why a single person may not be keen to enter into a serious relationship which leads to marriage is because they are afraid that the relationship does not pull through. & when this happens, both would end up being hurt. Well, I would like to stress 3 inevitable facts that we need to know when one wants to head towards this path line. No. 1, like it or not, the pursuit of love is risky & costly. Its eactly the same like entering into a business venture. Either you profit or you stand to loose. So we need to live with this fact. No.2: We need to keep an open mind & positive attitude. If we don't get a partner, at the very least, we gained a friend.
