Doing the Esther!

When we are in a position of influence whereby we can make a difference, what are we to do? Especially if the non-action would cause a great injustice. Should we exercise the influence and pursue the call of justice? Such situation reminds me of Esther. She was blessed to become the queen, the wife of King Xerxes.  During that time, her people, the Jews, were under threat of annihilation. What she did was she set up a meeting with the King(despite such rule that she is not allowed to do so) and sought the King's favor to protect her people. It was really a risk because though being queen, she is still subject to the King's rule and punishment for breaking it may be fatal! Look at the former queen Hadassah Vashti! She was dethroned! Well thank God she decided to speak up and a generation of Jews was preserved and is still alive and living till this day.

Would she be spared if she were to keep silent? And would it be the end of her people?

Esther 4:14 "For if you remain silent at this time,relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this."So from this passage, the answer is a definite no! I did the Esther move a few months back, not because I know that if I were to keep silent, I will still perish. I did what I did because I believe in justice and that justice must prevail. Maybe I might be ridiculed by others but who cares? Its God whom I have to answer to and yes, God I should fear, not men!

I believe in freedom of religion. It is for all races and there ought to be no exception to it. Even if a fellow Christian who would one day find themselves not believing anymore, sad as it may be, we are to let them go. It is their choice and we have to be respectful of that. If a Christian group seeks to compel the citizens to be a Christian, by all means, I will fight against it though I am a Christian myself! After all, compulsion to worship is not God's way! My hope and dream for Malaysia during this day is that there will be freedom of religion for all races. That may seem far reaching for now, but the pursuit to freedom of religion must go on. Looking forward to see it soon!

Book spree & CD Spree!!

Yesterday, went gift hunting at Doulos. Supposedly to be gift hunting, nangga2x, bought stuffs for myself. Hehehe..... So at Doulos, I bought 3 books. 1 book is a gift for my coming X'mas party. 2 books for myself. All for RM24. Stinking cheap right? If I buy these books at the local bookstore, it'll cost me somewhere around RM25-RM35 per book. Yeah....dirt cheap. When I thought I was done with my book spree, I came across one section of the ship where they have an offer. 4CDs + 1 doulos bag for RM20. Or 3 books + 1 Doulos bag for RM20. Wowsers! How can I resist!! Off I went & managed to grab 4 CDs. American made CDs are of good quality man. One of the Cds that I picked was a Christian rock group called Decypher Down. I stumbled across this band while I was copying songs to my MP3 player from my bro's PC. I like what I heard & I always wonder how is their full album like. Green Chords-State Level 2009

This is the reason why I drove all the way to Sibu. To lend support to my brother's school marching band, the Green Chords. Before this, I was never a fan. Err wait..before this I've never heard of marching band at all. Of course this all changed after my sibs joined Green Road Sec. School's marching band. See the guy with the tuba. That's my younger bro, Calvin a.k.a Ju. When he first started, i.e. at the age of 13, he was selected to play the tuba. Mind you, he was the sole tuba player for 4 consecutive years. Imagine, he's controlling the bass side of the band...all by himself. Mind you, among all of us siblings, he was never musically trained. It was because of band that he begged my mum to enroll him for piano class..at the age of 14, which is quite late..just to master theory.He plays the tuba..and he has no musical theory background. Hi everyone in the blog community, Well, this is so awkward... Blogging seems to be the 'in-thing' these days. I've been thinking about joining the blogging trend(not that I'm a person who just want to delve into the 'in-thing')but I've been hindered due to thoughts like what am I going to write about & what if I get into trouble with the government(ya right..far fetched am I?). I guess I'm just blogshy, if there's such a word. If it weren't for Daron, my pastor, friend & brother(pastor, these words are mushy & you know how hardcore I am in expressing my feelings..haha!) I won't be doing this. He's the one who encouraged me to blog. & lo & behold, I'm doing this! So viewers, I hope my blog would be entertaining & inspiring. Hopefully, I can get some good out of this.
