In memoriam...

I'm writing this blog today, in memory of my......Esprit specs. I lost it last Thursday night. I suspect that it may have fallen off my shirt. The last place where I remembered my glass was in tact was at Hijau BDC. I only confirmed its lost the next morning.

Why so sentimental you may ask. Well, I used my first pay to purchase it...4-5 years ago. I've never changed it before although for many times I was tempted to. I see no reason to change despite some of the frame being rusty..Rustic look mah. I mean, I paid close to RM500 for it. Don't play-play OK.

Maybe this is God's way of telling me to change my glasses. I see...Like it or not, I have to buy me a new pair. So I got one last night. It was really different in terms of style. More colourful and trendy, I shall say. I bought a cheap one ...just in case I get bored with this one.

Sigh! I still wonder where did I loose the old pair. Kesiannya...

Recap of 2009

I'm trying to recall what happened to me in the year 2009. Let me see: There were 2 deaths in my family. I lost a beloved uncle and a nephew who died a few days after he was born. Ironically, both of this dearly departed are of the same household(granpa & granchild). I attended 3 weddings. 3 of my cousins got married. Sadly, the first wedding I attended, ended sometime 3/4months later. To think that this only happen in Hollywood. I met an important political figure: The CM of Sarawak - yup, in the flesh! Credits? social standing? Is it?

As the year 2012 is coming to an end, I find myself having to make this decision...either to stay on or leave an old post...either to pick up a new post, which is a new thing/role for me. My superior said this to me when I conveyed my intention to leave a particular post. "He said: Don't leave. Its good for your credits & social standing." He has his point but is credits & social standing all that matters in life? I get that credits & social standing is important & all. But I just don't think that it should be the SOLE consideration. So, in coming to my deliberation, the essential point of consideration for me right now is this: whether it is my passion or not? Is it worth fighting for, taking into light my believes which is tied in to my passion. So I chose to take up the position whereby I can make a difference. Entering year 2009

For new year's eve, didn't have any special family dinner. That's cause I'll be playing the piano for tonight's combine watch night service & Chris & Joey would be serving as well. I remembered how I celebrated my eves in the past. In the 90s, I would go to the Club..partying with 'friends.' Or have BBQ/extravagant dinner at my home. Or hang out at friends house..eating & drinking a little. Kind to think of it. Quite a waste. Now that I know Jesus personally, I find celebrating the eve in His House rather encouraging. Spending time with God & His people, especially in this time of economic turmoil, just uplift my spirit. All of us are called to not fear & change how we pray, i.e. in His authority.
