Friday the 13th rocks!

Last Friday the 13th, I went for the Planetshakers concert held at E-Centre. I remembered asking a peer of mine about a few years ago, why he didn't he go for the concert. His reply..too old la. I will feel left out, etc. Ya rite. Blame it on age. As for me, I'll continue to rock on till I am physically and mentally able to. Yeah...rocking on for the Rock of Ages!!

OK, ok. About the concert. The hall was packed. Youths from all denominations come. Some knew what the concert is all about but some sees it as a partying concert. I mean it is a partying concert but we're celebrating Jesus.
About the Planetshakers, they're awesome as usual. For P. Henry Seeley to be there, it was just an honour! It was his first time in Kuching & by the looks of it, he likes the place and the people. They sang their new song, 'All For Love' and another new one that touches on taking us deeper into God's Presence. I love the latter. It has a nice tune to it.
I admit that age is keeping up with me. I don't jump around like crazy & scream much like before. But I have to be at this concert cause being in the midst of these Jesus freak youths just reminds me to continue on being excited for Him ...like those youths.
So for friends and love ones who are of my age, let us remember our Creator from the days of our youth. & let us continue to serve Him all the days of our lives.
Oh ya...I had a rocking Friday the 13th.

Book spree & CD Spree!!

Yesterday, went gift hunting at Doulos. Supposedly to be gift hunting, nangga2x, bought stuffs for myself. Hehehe..... So at Doulos, I bought 3 books. 1 book is a gift for my coming X'mas party. 2 books for myself. All for RM24. Stinking cheap right? If I buy these books at the local bookstore, it'll cost me somewhere around RM25-RM35 per book. Yeah....dirt cheap. When I thought I was done with my book spree, I came across one section of the ship where they have an offer. 4CDs + 1 doulos bag for RM20. Or 3 books + 1 Doulos bag for RM20. Wowsers! How can I resist!! Off I went & managed to grab 4 CDs. American made CDs are of good quality man. One of the Cds that I picked was a Christian rock group called Decypher Down. I stumbled across this band while I was copying songs to my MP3 player from my bro's PC. I like what I heard & I always wonder how is their full album like. Green Chords-State Level 2009

This is the reason why I drove all the way to Sibu. To lend support to my brother's school marching band, the Green Chords. Before this, I was never a fan. Err wait..before this I've never heard of marching band at all. Of course this all changed after my sibs joined Green Road Sec. School's marching band. See the guy with the tuba. That's my younger bro, Calvin a.k.a Ju. When he first started, i.e. at the age of 13, he was selected to play the tuba. Mind you, he was the sole tuba player for 4 consecutive years. Imagine, he's controlling the bass side of the band...all by himself. Mind you, among all of us siblings, he was never musically trained. It was because of band that he begged my mum to enroll him for piano class..at the age of 14, which is quite late..just to master theory.He plays the tuba..and he has no musical theory background. Hi everyone in the blog community, Well, this is so awkward... Blogging seems to be the 'in-thing' these days. I've been thinking about joining the blogging trend(not that I'm a person who just want to delve into the 'in-thing')but I've been hindered due to thoughts like what am I going to write about & what if I get into trouble with the government(ya right..far fetched am I?). I guess I'm just blogshy, if there's such a word. If it weren't for Daron, my pastor, friend & brother(pastor, these words are mushy & you know how hardcore I am in expressing my feelings..haha!) I won't be doing this. He's the one who encouraged me to blog. & lo & behold, I'm doing this! So viewers, I hope my blog would be entertaining & inspiring. Hopefully, I can get some good out of this.
