Lately..

Lately....I started to take the initiative to learn cover songs...accoustic version of course. So far, still working on 'Decode' accoustic style. Still couldn't get the intro part & the ending...man, not only is it difficult to play in time, but its also difficult to sing and play as well. God I wish I can get it right. Need works la..


Also..I've been listening to encouraging rock songs. One of the song is from Fireflight "You gave me a promise." And another one is "So I Thought" from Flyleaf. I know...how can these loud tunes & screams be soothing to me? Well...its just me. I like 'em hard & I like em' real too..


So for those who love rock songs & has been feeling down lately, take a listen to this 2 songs. Instead of making you feel like going out on a death rampage, it'll give you the sense of hope.

Book spree & CD Spree!!

Yesterday, went gift hunting at Doulos. Supposedly to be gift hunting, nangga2x, bought stuffs for myself. Hehehe..... So at Doulos, I bought 3 books. 1 book is a gift for my coming X'mas party. 2 books for myself. All for RM24. Stinking cheap right? If I buy these books at the local bookstore, it'll cost me somewhere around RM25-RM35 per book. Yeah....dirt cheap. When I thought I was done with my book spree, I came across one section of the ship where they have an offer. 4CDs + 1 doulos bag for RM20. Or 3 books + 1 Doulos bag for RM20. Wowsers! How can I resist!! Off I went & managed to grab 4 CDs. American made CDs are of good quality man. One of the Cds that I picked was a Christian rock group called Decypher Down. I stumbled across this band while I was copying songs to my MP3 player from my bro's PC. I like what I heard & I always wonder how is their full album like. Green Chords-State Level 2009

This is the reason why I drove all the way to Sibu. To lend support to my brother's school marching band, the Green Chords. Before this, I was never a fan. Err wait..before this I've never heard of marching band at all. Of course this all changed after my sibs joined Green Road Sec. School's marching band. See the guy with the tuba. That's my younger bro, Calvin a.k.a Ju. When he first started, i.e. at the age of 13, he was selected to play the tuba. Mind you, he was the sole tuba player for 4 consecutive years. Imagine, he's controlling the bass side of the band...all by himself. Mind you, among all of us siblings, he was never musically trained. It was because of band that he begged my mum to enroll him for piano class..at the age of 14, which is quite late..just to master theory.He plays the tuba..and he has no musical theory background. Apparently, most of his band mates don't have any music background either. Imagine, they were taught to play the instrument...

My ex-Yakuza!

Hi guys! Just to share. When God gave TCC the opening to lead the youths from Sentral College, I had this crazy idea or wish that if only we could have the ex-Yakuza come to the college & inspire them to live for Christ & that lifestyle change is possible through the power of Jesus. & lo & behold! God answered my desire & I believe that the idea was not my own, but it was God led. So how did I manage to get P. Inoue, this ex-Yakuza turned Christian to come to Kuching? Well, I thank God for divine connections! I have Khoo Kar Leong to thank for because he is the man who made this happen. I got the idea in March 2010. When Kar Leong came from Singapore to Kuching, sometime in June/July this year, I conveyed him the idea & he is the one who made the connection with P. Inoue. I love this family of God.
