Of challenges, schemes, devises & plots

This past few weeks, as year 2008 is coming to an end, I have been facing a lot of challenges. Firstly, I looked forward for a peaceful Christmas holiday. Just when I thought things were going to be good, I heard a certain someone saying stuffs about me which I find over exaggerated & a blatant lie.I mean.. I have thought nothing but praise for this fellow. Instead what did I get? Stabbings at the back. Multiple stab wounds!!

Was so tempted to fight back. Dahle I had an appointment with the fellow. Felt so tempted to bail out on the dude. But neah...I'm going to rise above this! Strike my right cheek heh? I offer my left lah! As I write this, I reminded myself that God resist the pride but acknowledges the humble. So, I went out with my 'enemy'. Despite the unbecoming attack, I've shown my kindness & will continue to do so. & I'm proud to say that I felt good after that.


Secondly, I met a guy whom I just found to be so good looking. All this while, his face is hidden behind his rocker long hair. So I never noticed him before until he cuts his hair. Gorgeous I say! Sad thing though...he's not a Christian. Hmm..The bible is clear. Should not be unequally yoke with unbeliever. Suddenly, the 'date evangelism' theory becomes rather appealling to me. Who am I kidding? The Bible is clear.
I'm reminded of the scripture's warning against the devises, schemes & plots of the enemy. OK. Point taken. Gotta be watchful & careful as I enter into year 2009.

Book spree & CD Spree!!

Yesterday, went gift hunting at Doulos. Supposedly to be gift hunting, nangga2x, bought stuffs for myself. Hehehe..... So at Doulos, I bought 3 books. 1 book is a gift for my coming X'mas party. 2 books for myself. All for RM24. Stinking cheap right? If I buy these books at the local bookstore, it'll cost me somewhere around RM25-RM35 per book. Yeah....dirt cheap. When I thought I was done with my book spree, I came across one section of the ship where they have an offer. 4CDs + 1 doulos bag for RM20. Or 3 books + 1 Doulos bag for RM20. Wowsers! How can I resist!! Off I went & managed to grab 4 CDs. American made CDs are of good quality man. One of the Cds that I picked was a Christian rock group called Decypher Down. Green Chords-State Level 2009

This is the reason why I drove all the way to Sibu. To lend support to my brother's school marching band, the Green Chords. Before this, I was never a fan. Err wait..before this I've never heard of marching band at all. Of course this all changed after my sibs joined Green Road Sec. School's marching band. See the guy with the tuba. That's my younger bro, Calvin a.k.a Ju. When he first started, i.e. at the age of 13, he was selected to play the tuba. Mind you, he was the sole tuba player for 4 consecutive years. Imagine, he's controlling the bass side of the band...all by himself. Mind you, among all of us siblings, he was never musically trained. It was because of band that he begged my mum to enroll him for piano class..at the age of 14, which is quite late..just to master theory.He plays the tuba..and he has no musical theory background. Give grace to Elizabeth Wong

Elizabeth Wong's nude pictures scandal has been a big hit recently. Some groups were sympathetic towards her, seeing it as a grievous unfortunate event. But some looked at her with scorn and demands her resignation...they remind me of the Pharisees in the Bible. Why should Elizabeth resign because of something which is not wrong legally? Her privacy was invaded. She is a victim of one sicko out there..whoever he is, I hope the authority would get him and bring him to justice! As for her morality, that is between her and God. For Christians, telling a white lie is equal to the sin of killing. Lusting for someone in the mind is equivalent to committing adultery. Sin is sin. So whoever has no sin whatsoever, let them be the 1st one to cast the stone at her. God in His infinite mercy, has poured out His abundant grace upon us. Likewise, lets be gracious towards Elizabeth.
